FAQs
Why does my coffee taste thin and sour?
This usually means it's under-extracted. A common cause is water that’s not hot enough. If you’re using a kettle, try setting the temperature to 203°F for better extraction and fuller flavor.
Which coffee do you recommend for espresso?
All of our coffees are roasted to work beautifully as espresso!
That said, it really comes down to your personal taste. From what we’ve seen in our tastings and events, those who prefer darker roasts often enjoy them best as espresso, while medium and lighter roasts tend to shine more in drip or filter brewing methods.
What type of coffee is recommended for use with fully or semi-automatic espresso machines?
Any of our coffees will work! They’re all roasted for solubility and smooth extraction. Choose your coffee based on your flavor preferences.
How long does your coffee stay fresh?
Our coffee is at its peak flavor for about three months after roasting and remains good for another three months beyond that. It’s still safe to drink after six months, but much of the nuanced flavor will have faded.
